Naryn EBL lawyer Aibek Omuraliev has successfully appealed the dismissal of two kindergarten workers after they lost their jobs for allegedly being drunk at work. The case made it to the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The problem started at the kindergarten's New Years' party, where staff were drinking vodka - a widely accepted practice at teachers' parties. One of the women fainted, and an ambulance was called. "I have high blood pressure," says the patient, Nurgul. "My condition that day was not brought on by alcohol."
