The Dialogue Initiative Program is an access to justice program in Kazakhstan being implemented by Counterpart International and the Urban Institute with funding from USAID. The aim of the project is to help bring about a better informed citizenry actively engaged in policy dialogue and democratic reforms so as to improve the overall structure of governance in Kazakhstan. This report describes a visit to Kazakhstan in 2009 and numerous meetings with politicians, activists and experts.
