Equal Before the Law

In order to oversee the implementation of EBL, EFCA has selected a group of lawyers, judges, development specialists, academics, diplomats and government officials, to form Stakeholder Councils in Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. This will ensure EBL's coordination with ongoing efforts in the sphere of access to justice and help the program react to changes and opportunities in the field. The inclusion of government officials in this process will help facilitate EBL's aim to increase the alignment of national law and practices with international law and best practices. The councils will meet twice a year.
